HistoryI began teaching English in Puerto Rico in 1974 to students struggling to learn in a class setting. Since then, I have taught in schools, in adult education programs, and online. I developed a curriculum that takes students of any age from their current level to their desired level of English. Today, we offer multiple choices for learning. We cater to groups of middle school, high school, college, Junior college, and university students that speak English but lack the skills to comprehend written English and write at that level of proficiency. Serving as a concentrated learning course, each student has a vocabulary that focuses on their specific needs. The dissertation topic for my doctoral degree researches the high failure rate of secondary students in their quest to learn a second language. Improvements are made continually to the courses as we discover a better way to learn.
