HistoryBATS Taxi had its origin as an airport shuttle service in 1981 (Beach Airport Transport Service, Bay Area Taxi Service, Inc. or BATS Taxi was a natural addition to this original service in 1985. It is a family run , locally operated taxi and sedan service transportation company. BATS offers sedans, mini vans, the larger Suburban late model taxicabs. We also offer executive car(s) to meet and greet your flights at Tampa and St. Pete/Clearwater Airport(s). All vehicles are available for charter. The drivers are all background screened by the St. Petersburg Police Department and our vehicles are also permitted by various local municipalities. The taxicabs have meters as mandated by the State of Florida and are calibrated by the Department of Agriculture. We operate mainly in the southern portion of Pinellas County and our operation is based on St. Pete Beach.
