The Fleet Management Division, a part of the City of Jacksonville, is responsible for motor vehicles and equipment owned or leased by the city and its independent agencies. The division offers preventative and regular maintenance and repair services. The Fleet Management Division keeps maintenance and service records, prepares replacement schedules, coordinates vehicle inventory and maintenance and ensures the quality control of repair orders. The division also coordinates the movement of vehicles and tracks usage and cost statistics on each vehicle. The Fleet Management Division additionally purchases new equipment and manages city's fueling operations. The City of Jacksonville is one of the largest cities in area in the United States with approximately 850,000 residents.
