The Imperial Golf Club in Naples, Fla., was established in 1972 as a private golf club featuring two 18-hole championship golf courses. The courses cover in excess of 300 acres of wooded land and approximately 40 acres of spring-fed lakes designed to enhance the beauty of the courses. The East course was designed by golf architect Arthur Hills and opened in 1973. It is a traditional northern style layout with gradual doglegs and generous fairways. Five tee locations provide play from 5,300 to 7,000 yards. The West course, designed by Ward Northrup opened in 1977. The course is a traditional Florida style featuring sharp doglegs and many water hazards. Four tee locations stretch course yardage from 5,140 to 6,560 yards.
