The City of Hialeah Department of Water and Sewers provides cost-effective, reliable and high-quality water and wastewater services to its customers. The department is committed to operate and maintain its facilities economically and safely while protecting the public health and the environment. The department provides safe and aesthetically pleasing drinking water to its residents as well as many businesses and visitors. The system now includes 324 miles of water lines throughout the city. In its effort to supply residents with the safest possible product, the city has implemented an extensive testing program. Water quality tests are conducted on a continuous basis and include the following tests: turbidity, conductivity, temperature, chlorine residual, lead and copper and Calcium. Founded in 1925, the city of Hialeah, Fla. is home to more than 240,000 residents covering a geographic area of 24 square miles.
