The Atlantic Beach Police Department provides safety and security and protects lives and property through crime prevention and law enforcement. It maintains administration, patrol, investigations and animal control divisions, as well as employs crossing guards and lifeguards. The department undertakes criminal investigations, preventive patrol, traffic enforcement and crash investigations and record keeping. The Atlantic Beach Police Department has an emergency communication center that receives, screens, dispatches and records calls for police, fire and medical services.
