Meals on Wheels of Manatee began in 1972 with a simple mission: to provide hot and nutritioius meals to the county's elderly and disabled. Since that time it's expanded its services to include everything from transportation to health monitoring to adult day care to emergency aid assistance for those in need - hence the "PLUS" designation. Meals on Wheels PLUS operates in conjunction with many other charitable programs throughout the county to fulfill its mission.
