Gold Star Donut Shop is located in a small strip mall on the south side of Whitfield Avenue at 12th Street. It features a creation called pecan queen, a tasty pecan roll. It also carries coffee, hot chocolate, juices and hot tea. Gold Star offers classic baklava, dinuts such as cream, blueberry, cherry and glazed. It even makes apple fritters. Customers who buy by the dozen can save some dough.
