The World Deliverance Missionary Evangelistic Center is an interdenominational ministry and is made up of people from all walks of life that have made a decision to follow Jesus Christ and have become fellow citizens of the Kingdom of God. We believe that God has commissioned us to bring deliverance and hope to our community and to share in the vision of God to affect global change. Our ministry theme testifies, "We shall not die, but live and declare the works of the Lord." Psalms 118: 17 W.D.M.E.C. was founded as the Holy Spirit led Senior Pastor Arthur L. White, Jr. to establish a work of God in Miami, Florida in the Brownsville area. In June, 1977 the very first service was held in his home. In less, than a month, the small body of believers began to increase. By October, the group moved their services to the chapel of a funeral home. In September 1978, the ministry of deliverance was introduced and there was a great awareness of the nature of man: spirit, soul and body. By this time the work of spiritual warfare was evident in the ministry. And by the 1980's, the ministry grew enough to relocate and establish their own church charter under the name The World Deliverance Missionary Evangelistic Center, Inc as a non-profit organization.
