Suzanne C. Suber is a French-born American jewelry designer who specializes in classic couture quality hand-embroidered Soutache jewelry for her French Mermaid Collection that is surprisingly lightweight and comfortable to wear. Soutache Jewelry is a unique, meticulously stitched & beaded art form that is reminiscent of ancient times yet melds with any current fashion style. Her tutoring in hand-stitching and fine embroidery began at the age of five under the watchful eye of her very skilled French grand-mere. Suzanne's background consists of fourteen years in the fine jewelry industry, a major in Commercial Art and Photography, experienced Couturiere of bridal and ladies formal wear (to include restoration of Vintage gowns and formal/bridal accessories such as veils, hats, gauntlets, etc.), French Heirloom Vintage reproduction dresses and smocking for children; and elaborate belly-dancing costumes.
