The Daytona Cubs are the Advanced Single A affiliate of Major League Baseball's Chicago Cubs and a member of the Florida State League. Located in Daytona Beach, Fla., the Cubs play their games at historic Jackie Robinson Ballpark, where Robinson played his first game in organized ball on United States' soil. Big Game Capital, which also has held minority ownership in the NBA s Cleveland Cavaliers since 2005, purchased the team in 2000 and has since increased attendance by more than 100 percent, taking the Cubs from the bottom of the FSL in attendance to the top.
