The Florida Center for Addictions and Dual Disorders is a 40-plus-bed residential treatment facility for individuals with substance dependence and psychiatric disorders. Located in Avon Park, Fla., the center is licensed and monitored by the Florida Department of Children and Families and the Commission for the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. It provides psychiatric assessment, psychoeducational and rehabilitative services. The Florida Center for Addictions and Dual Disorders offers assistance with stress management and development of communication and living skills. The center additionally provides individual, group, recreational and occupational therapies. It is operated by Tri-County Human Services, which is a nonprofit organization providing substance abuse and mental health disorders treatment to residents of Florida's Polk, Hardee and Highlands counties in Florida.
