Native Learning Center
The Native Learning Center (NLC) is a renowned training resource that offers free Training and Technical Assistance to Native Americans and individuals working within Indian Country. Established in 2008 in collaboration with the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and Eastern Woodlands Office of Native American Programs (EWONAP), the NLC is a model activity program of the Seminole Tribe of Florida (STOF) Housing Department. Their mission is to provide Native Americans with housing-related training programs that enhance their knowledge and skills, ultimately improving their quality of life. With a vision to be the recognized training resource for the development of Tribal communities for all Native Americans, the NLC focuses on promoting the essentials of The Native American Housing Assistance and Self Determination Act of 1996 (NAHASDA) for Tribal members and their communities. Their training programs cover a wide range of topics, including tribal grant writing, steps to starting a tribal business, federal grants management for tribes, and more.
