History
Mr. John R. Dandeneau was raised in Miami, Florida, and at the age of 18, entered the U.S. Army. Mr. Dandeneau served 22 years with the elite U.S. Army Special Forces (Green Berets). A master in unarmed combat, Mr. Dandeneau taught conventional and unconventional combat tactics to foreign soldiers throughout Latin America while serving in a variety of operational assignments during his career. Mr. Dandeneau began his martial arts training in 1978, and in 1988 he was introduced to Chang Hon TaeKwon Do and the ITF by Grand Master Mel Steiner. He was promoted by Grand Master C. E. Serreff to 4th and 5th Degree Black belt, and currently studies under Master Peter Thibado, 8th degree black belt, and both are active members of the American TaeKwon-Do Federation International (ATFI) and the International TaeKwon-Do Federation (ITF). We take pride in offering a friendly, convenient, and family oriented atmosphere in which to train, learn, and experience Tae Kwon-Do (TKD.) Offering TKD in the recreation center allows us to offer reduced prices and to serve many students who might otherwise not be able to train at traditional studios.
