The Cuban American National Council, also known as CNC, is a nonprofit organization that provides human services. Founded in 1972, the council serves the private and public sectors. It has helped more than 3,000 at-risk students to remain in school and graduated over 200 students with a high school diploma. The Cuban American National Council has made nearly 35,800 direct job placements and created more than 4,000 new jobs. It has published over 60 policy papers and books and built new housing units for nearly 1,700 individuals of low and moderate income. The council is a publisher on Hispanic American issues and has operations in Florida and Washington D.C. Its Refugee Employment Program assists refugees in finding employment and offers skills training, on-the-job training and other support services.
