History
Dr. Harrison has completed extensive training, all in the field of clinical psychology. After finishing a bachelor's degree in psychology at Indiana University in 1981, Dr. Harrison completed a Ph.D. in clinical psychology at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 1986. Further training included an internship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a residency year in a large group practice in south Florida. She has seen clients in counseling since 1981. In addition to private practice in Naples, Dr. Harrison was previously on staff at Naples Community Hospital as well as six other hospitals throughout Florida, and served as the clinical director of the Guidance Clinic of the Middle Keys. She presently sees adults and children for evaluation and counseling, and provides forensic evaluations and expert witness testimony for the courts. Her present areas of special interest include depression, anxiety, insomnia, personal growth, midlife&retirement issues, as well as others.
