Collier County Public Schools, located in Naples, Fla., is managed by the District School Board of Collier County, a five-member, elected, policy-making body of the district. Its schools are approved by the Council on Accreditation and School Improvement. The district offers Advanced Placement Laureate diploma programs, and its schools have more than 18,000 networked computers. Collier County Public Schools employs more than 2,500 trained teachers, including several national board certified teachers. The district has more than 40 schools, including several charter schools and a prekindergarten center, The Learning Center in Immokalee. Additionally, its various alternative school sites serve more than 1,200 students.
