History
In 1967 Cokesbury United Methodist Church started a single kindergarten class. The first few years, the kindergarten class offered an opportunity for students from Pensacola Junior College to gain practical application experience. As the need grew for child care in the community of Northwest Pensacola, Cokesbury decided to offer complete child care. In 1972 the kindergarten class expanded into the new building behind the church officially opening its doors as Cokesbury Methodist Children's Center, accepting infants through 5-year -olds. Today the Cokesbury Children's Center serves 140 children and employs over 40 people with a very strong commitment to the children. Cokesbury now has several teachers that have been serving for over 10 years. Cokesbury Children's Center is proud to serve the families of Pensacola and continue to do so with a heart for Christ.
