I came to Saint Lucie County with Flowers Baking Co. in 1987 as a route sales employee, and stayed with them until Feb. 2001, completing my 20 years. I then worked for 18 months for Rug Doctor in a route delivery position. I noticed on the satisfaction cards provided by Rug Doctor that a lot of customers rent Rug Doctor machines, buy their products, do the work themselves, and spend $70 or $80 or more, to have just so-so results cleaning their carpets. I began talking to friends and family about carpet cleaning and heard about Heaven's Best from my cousin in Sebastian. I looked them up online and liked what I read, and contacted them about purchasing a territory. I bought and began my business in Oct. 2002. I really enjoy my job. Like everything, there are ups and downs but overall, I enjoy my work. Most of my customers are very likeable and I feel as though I'm helping them by doing a better job than they normally get from large, impersonal companies, whose employees always seem to be in a race to get your carpets done and leave. A lot of my customers are referrals and I know that they are expecting something different and better than what they've been used to in the past. Sometimes I talk too much, or my customers have to endure my singing while I work, but they usually call me the next time they need their carpets cleaned. That just speaks for itself! Being with Heaven's Best has given me the opportunity to have my own business and operate it the way that I see fit. I represent Heaven's Best and proudly use their products because I believe they are some of the best out there.
