The Claretian Sisters, a congregation of religious women, arrived in the United States in 1956 with a dream to spread the Gospel of love and compassion. They established communities in Illinois and Washington, D.C., before responding to the call to minister to migrant farm workers in South Florida. Today, they continue their mission of evangelization through various ministries, including catechesis, liturgy, music, and social services.
With a history spanning over 40 years in the United States, the Claretian Sisters have become an Independent Delegation within their congregation. They have established communities in Miami, West Palm Beach, and Mayo, serving in seminaries, parishes, universities, and diocesan ministries. Their dedication to Christian formation, migrant ministry, and retreat ministry reflects their commitment to renewing the Church and building the Kingdom of God.
