The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is a full-service law enforcement agency that prevents crime, protects residents lives and property, preserves peace and order and safeguards citizens rights. It is nationally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) and the Commission of Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation (CFA). Located in Jacksonville, Fla., the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office maintains a civil unit that carries out the sheriff's office s statutory responsibilities for the service of process and execution of writs, as well as levies and conducts sheriff's sales to aid in the collection of money judgments. The office also has a homeland security division that provides a comprehensive and effective means to disseminate information regarding the risk of terrorist acts to federal, state and local authorities and to the public.
