St. Lucie County Department of Parks and Recreation, located in Fort Pierce, Fla., offers sporting and recreational activities for children and adults. It operates various facilities, such as Fairwinds Golf Course, Ft. Pierce Community Center, Lawnwood Sports Complex, St. Lucie County Civic Center Auditorium and Lincoln Park Community Center. Additionally, it operates various other facilities, such as swimming pools, beach-side parks, and tennis complex and football and soccer stadiums. Its recreation division provides a variety of recreational activities that include horse riding, fishing, boating, aquatic sports, softball, football, musical programs and dancing. It additionally organizes youth camps and after school programs. The recreation division also provides sports equipment rental services for various parks of the St. Lucie County, such as the Pepper Park, Lawnwood Sports Complex and Frederick Douglass Park.
