Named a State School of Character, Cimino Elementary School is led by Principal Deborah Talley and Assistant Principal Cindy Dowdy. It was constructed in 2001 in the Bloomingdale East subdivision and features an active PTA, which helped fund a butterfly house for the school two years ago. The school's mascot is the Cougar. The school's theme this year is "Focus on the Stars."

Students will continue participating in the reading program called CUB Time. CUB (Cougars United through Books) Time is an uninterrupted silent reading time. Out of all the ways children spend their time, Cimino believes reading books is the best predictor of reading achievement between second and fifth grade. Children who read 20 minutes a day in addition to the reading of text books in school are among the highest-achieving students.

Principal Deborah Talley feels that an outstanding staff, combined with great support from parents, has made the school so successful.

Randall Middle School

Founded in 1999, Randall Middle School is a part of Hillsborough County Public Schools. Its core curriculum includes math, science, language arts, social studies and English. The school also offers elective courses in physical education, music, business technology, and family and consumer science. Its athletic activities include basketball, track, soccer, football and volleyball. Randall Middle School additionally offers an array of before- and after-school activities to students in the age group of 10 to 15. Mulrennan Middle School is one of the leading middle schools in the United States. The school enrolls more than 350 students in grades six through eight. It administers a range of academic and enrichment programs. Mulrennan Middle School offers classes in science, physical education, reading skills, mathematics, language arts and social studies, as well as transportation services. The school also administers various special education and before- and after-school programs. Fishhawk Creek Elementary School

Opened in July 2004, FishHawk Creek Elementary School is the second school to open in the community of FishHawk Ranch. It serves students in kindergarten through sixth grade. The school has been recognized as a Five-Star School, a Golden School based on the number of volunteer hours and received an A rating from the Florida Department of Education. It received the Excellence in Attendance schoolwide award for the past five years. Its mascot is the falcon.
