Kung Fu is an effective means of self-defense, and at higher levels, it integrates physical, mental and spiritual strength. The Chinese Martial Arts Center opened in 1981. It is located in the Northwood Oaks Shopping Center on the Northeast corner of McMullen-Booth and Enterprise Road. Plenty of parking is available on the east and west sides of the Center.
The school offers instruction in the traditional Chinese martial arts of Shaolin Kung Fu, Tai Chi, Xing Yi, Bagua, Liuhe Bafa, Baji, Qi Gong and Chinese weaponry. Visit the website for a detailed description of each discipline.
Classes are also available for young children to help them build strength, cardiovascular fitness and self-confidence, improve flexibility and develop sharp reflexes and coordination. The center operates under the philosophy that Chinese martial arts are not just a form of exercise, but rather a way to better oneself in every way.
