The Children's Services Council is an organization that specializes in planning, coordinating and funding services for and on behalf of the children of Broward County, Fla. It offers various behavioral health programs to serve children and youth with mental health conditions. Behavioral health programs also include services for infants, very young children and mothers suffering with maternal depression. Additionally, the council offers family strengthening programs to help families at risk for child abuse and neglect by providing parent training in behavior management and conflict resolution. The Children's Services Council also offers future prep programs that include a range of services, such as assessment of youth s interests, aptitudes and abilities; development of a life plan for youths to achieve academic and career goals; workshops on life and employability skills and health education; and individual and group counseling services. It is located in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
