HistoryOwner, Colleen Lilley, searched for the perfect city in which to open Music & Me, LLC and knew from its warm and open vibe, she had found the right place in St. Petersburg. Miss Colleen, as she is affectionately called by her students, a former opera singer, began teaching the Music Together program in Berlin, Germany in 2008. It became her goal to come back to the States and run the program here. She opened her doors in 2010 and since then, the business has grown steadily receiving a warm welcome from families finding meaning and joy in classes. After renting classroom space from others for years, Music & Me, LLC opened its own brick and mortar location in January 2018. Having served thousands of area students over the years, Music & Me, LLC has become a staple for finding quality programming for children in early childhood and bringing people together through the joy of music making and plans to continue to do so for years to come.SpecialtiesMusic & Me provides programming for babies, toddlers and preschoolers and their loving grownups. Most notable are our lively and interactive Music Together classes where we use song, movement and instrument play to promote healthy cognitive, language, motor and social development in children all while supporting their musical development as well. We host a family yoga program as well as a very special prenatal yoga class with the area's best-loved prenatal yoga teacher. We focus on supporting the family by providing the best in early childhood programming firmly grounded in evidence-based research, creating community within our classrooms, and strengthening the parent/child bond. We participate in our community offering free events 9 months out of the year and we give back to our community providing no or low cost classes to several non-profit entities serving families with small children.
