Bloomingdale High School serves students in grades 9 through 12. Its academic curriculum includes programs in mathematics, social studies, science, English, and business and technology education. The school additionally has departments for physical education, foreign languages, and career and vocational studies. Bloomingdale High School s facilities include a media center, playground, cafeteria, computer and science laboratories and athletic fields. Its athletics department offers a variety of sports activities, such as basketball, football, swimming, baseball, softball, track and field, soccer, wrestling, golf and cross country. The school supports several clubs and organizations that include the French Honor Society, Family Career and Community Leaders of America, and ecology, chess, drama, lacrosse, key and yearbook clubs. In addition, Bloomingdale High School offers an accelerated reader program that encourages students to read more books. It is located in Valrico, Fla., and is a part of Hillsborough County Public Schools.
