Susan Crowley had an affinity for birds and turned it into a successful business. She says birds are like any other pets and need attention and care, more than a mere feeding visit from a neighbor.
So began Bird Care With Love. Fifteen years later, she expanded the facility to care for up to 30 birds at a time. She accepts almost any bird, exotic types and parakeets. The caretaking is done at her home. You can find her by turning left on 49th Street onto Drymon Avenue.
Owners must complete a questionnaire with feeding, care and medical emergency information. Her idea, a "bed and breakfast for birds," remains popular with clients who have stayed with her since 1995.
