Founded in 1960, The Benjamin School is a college preparatory school, based in North Palm Beach, Fla. It has upper, middle and lower school divisions, and offers various academic programs, such as fine arts, athletics, student activities and community services. The school serves more than 1,200 students of prekindergarten through grade 12, and has a student-teacher ratio of 13-to-1. The school offers a wide variety of courses, such as art, computer science, English, health, International Baccalaureate, mathematics, physical education, science, social studies and foreign languages. Its visual and performing arts course offers art, band, chorus, dance, drama, graphics, photography and video production. The school provides a variety of athletic activities, such as baseball, lacrosse, cross country, football, tennis, wrestling, volleyball and golf. It offers various facilities, including computer laboratory, library, cafeteria and store. The Benjamin School is approved by the Florida Council of Independent Schools.
