Bay Medical Center Ambulance Service provides emergency medical transportation service for Bay Medical hospital in Panama City, Fla. In service for more than 25 years, BMCA makes 26,000 emergency runs each year with an average response time of five minutes in Panama City and eight minutes for Bay County. It operates eight substations that are located in the Florida cities of Panama City, Panama City Beach, West Panama City Beach, Lynn Haven, Youngstown, Callaway and Mexico Beach. Its main station, located at the hospital, has a helipad to receive air ambulance patients. Bay Medical Center also provides a critical care transport unit that specializes in transporting cardiac or trauma cases from surrounding counties to Bay Medical Center. Its advanced life support capabilities also include a specialized neonatal transport unit.
