History
Dr. Parekattil is a pioneer in the field of microsurgery and has authored numerous papers, books and developed some novel surgical techniques for certain infertility and chronic groin or testicular pain conditions. He was an electrical engineer prior to completing his medical & surgical training and thus has always had an interest in the use of technology to further the field of medicine. He decided to partner with some leading technology medical companies and develop the first of its kind office based urology microsurgical suite to allow urologists to perform a number of complex urologic treatments in an office based setting under IV sedation or nitrous gas sedation. This allows him to provide state of the art treatment options for patients in a more comfortable and cost effective setting. The mission at Avant is to use technology to better patient outcomes in a cost effective manner.
Specialties
We specialize in male infertility, vasectomy & vasectomy reversal, chronic groin and testicular pain treatments, enlarged prostate, bladder pain, kidney stone and prostate cancer treatment. We have partnered with Karl Storz from Germany to develop the first office based 3D high definition digital microsurgical suite in the country. This allows us to provide high end microsurgical treatment options that are not available anywhere else in the country. Our goal is to deliver the highest end quality care in a cost effective manner in an office based setting.
