AutoTechnologies Mission Statement AutoTechnologies, an automotive repair facility, believes in providing quality, honest, and state of the art diagnostics and repair on automobiles and light trucks. We endeavor not only to maintain and repair our customer's vehicles, but, in addition, we to educate our customers in proper maintenance procedures for the safety and longevity of their vehicles. In May of 1999, we purchased two repair facilities. At the time Charlie was a technician for Goodyear, and Virginia was a teacher at Fox Hollow Elementary School. Both shops were not reputable, were ill equipped, dirty and lacked ASE certified personnel. After one year of struggling to find qualified, honest staff, struggling with the poor prior reputations at both stores, and putting in long hours repairing vehicles and cleaning at both shops, we decided to concentrate our efforts on one store, eliminating the other. Charlie's skills as a certified master technician, and hands-on management by both of us began a turn-around in our business. We were able to overcome the financial loss and extreme debt incurred during our first year, and we have grown from a $250, 000 a year shop to a $500, 000 a year shop in a relatively short time. This was accomplished with only Charlie, Virginia and ( sometimes ) one other technician. We are very proud of equipment we have purchased since we consolidated at one location. Particularly important is the SUN 450 diagnostic machine, one of the few diagnostic machines of its type in the area. Please see our equipment page for a description of much of our equipment and tools. By providing honest, quality diagnostics and repair of our customer's vehicles as well as friendly, courteous explanations and atmosphere, we have developed an excellent reputation and a devoted customer base. In addition to referrals from our customers, we receive referrals from several other repair shops for diagnostic work including Blue Ribbon, Sunset and A-Tex Transmissions. Automotive Service Excellence Automotive Management Institute International Automotive Technicians Network Our business cannot continue to be successful without keeping up, through education and updated equipment, with the technology of the vehicles we service. Proper diagnosis, repair and maintenance of today's vehicles are not possible without current knowledge and equipment. In addition, we must be able to knowledgeably discuss maintenance and repair with our customers and educate our customers regarding technical advances in our industry. Charlie began working in the automotive repair business in St. Louis, Missouri in 1968 at the age of fifteen. Upon the death of his father, he went to work for Gulf Oil Company full-time to help support his mother and siblings while continuing to attend high school. In 1972, Charlie began employment with Firestone where he continued to gain knowledge and experience from hands-on work and from Firestone's training programs. In 1979 Charlie started his career with Goodyear. He worked for several independent Goodyear stores in both St. Louis and the Tampa Bay area until 1984 when he went to work for Goodyear Corporate. He continued his employment with Goodyear until 1999. During his time with Goodyear, Charlie was able to take advantage of their excellent education program spending at least two weeks a year at Goodyear's training facility in Orlando. He obtained his ASE master technician certification in 1986, and he had been certified in several areas previous to that time. During his tenure with Goodyear, he served as service manager, adding to the experience necessary to run one's own shop. During that time he also accumulated numerous citations and awards for excellent service. Since the purchase of our shop, Charlie has continued to attend classes offered by Carquest, Snap-On, Matco and Automotive Management Institute. In the past year Charlie has attended to following classes: Shop Management offered by Automoti
