Established in 1954, ARC Gateway serves children and adults with developmental disabilities to become independent and contributing members of community. It administers the Discovery Gateway Early Childhood Program, which offers child care to children between six weeks and 3 years with and without disabilities and assists parents in the development of children at homes. Formerly known as the Association of Retarded Citizens, the facility operates ARC Gateway Foundation, which is a support organization the helps to raise and invest funds for its programs and services.
