Armaghan Amy Mostafavi, MD, FACS, is a board-certified general and vascular surgeon, and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Prior to joining Tampa General Hospital, she served as the chief of the Department of Surgery, as well as on the board of trustees at JFK Medical Center in Palm Beach County. Dr. Mostafavi was also a clinical instructor in surgery and radiology for Harvard Medical School at Massachusetts General Hospital, as well as an assistant professor of surgery for the University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine. She received her general surgery and vascular fellowship training at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Dr. Mostafavi brings vast experience and a renowned reputation to Tampa General Hospital’s presence on the East Coast. She has been recognized with the “Physician Hero Award” by JFK Medical Center, as a “Top Doctor” by Palm Beach Illustrated, and as one of “America’s Top Surgeons” by the Consumer’s Research Council of America. Dr. Mostafavi has also published research and articles, and is a member of several professional medical societies.
