The Utility Workers Union of America has more than 50,000 members working in the electric, gas, water and nuclear industries throughout the United States. It has an interest in and ability to protect utility jobs, as well as the wages, benefits and working conditions that its members experience in their jobs. The union was established more than 65 years ago. It has invested time and money in a variety of programs, which includes safety and health training, legislative affairs and benefits plans, so that its members will be protected on the job and in their paychecks. The Utility Workers Union of America is headquartered in Washington, D.C.
