The United States Secret Service is a federal law enforcement agency that operates more than 150 offices throughout the world. Founded in 1865, the agency works in the area of cyber crime prevention. It addresses various issues, such as the protection of critical infrastructure, Internet intrusions and fraud. The United States Secret Service s investigative responsibilities include crimes that involve financial institution, computer and telecommunications, false identification document, access device, advance fee, electronic funds transfer and money laundering frauds. The agency works in partnership with Boys and Girls Clubs of America to offer support services for assisting with programs that discourage violence and drug abuse. The United States Secret Service analyses documents, fingerprints, false identification documents, credit cards and forensic science areas for coordinating photographic and graphic production, as well as video, audio and image enhancement services.
