The Women of the Towing and Recovery Association of America (WTRAA) is a subsidiary organization of the Towing and Recovery Association of America (TRAA), established in 1981. Their mission is to provide financial aid to the TRAA, support women in the towing industry, and assist the TRAA Education Foundation, Inc. Scholarship Program in granting scholarships to children of towing professionals for further education.
WTRAA organizes various events and initiatives, including the Crash Responder Safety Week, a Federal Highway Administration-sponsored initiative aimed at promoting safety for crash responders. They also host the TRAA Legislative Action Workshop Hill Day, the industry's only national hill day, providing an opportunity for industry professionals to advocate for their interests. Additionally, WTRAA holds membership meetings, member mingle events, and an annual awards ceremony to recognize outstanding contributions by women in the towing and recovery industry.
