History
We obtained the building in 2013 and after a two and a half year renovation, turned what was a local dive, into a local pub steeped with history. We encountered our own modern day scrooge; the personal injury lawyer who owns the building next door. After attempting to do everything in his power to cause us to go out of business and forfeit the building to him, we prevailed through all his frivolous lawsuits, false complaints and fabricated accusations, opening the doors with food only in March 2015. We survived for another year and a half before obtaining a liquor license in May 2017 and being able to operate as a true pub. We are now a local favorite, serving British and American classics made from scratch and local products. We pride ourselves in being an American version of the pubs in Britain, creating a warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere that is steeped in history, stories, old friends, and new, with a strong connection to local community.
