Safe Kids Worldwide, formerly known as National SAFE KIDS Campaign, is a nonprofit organization that works to prevent accidental childhood injuries. The organization maintains a network of more than 450 coalitions in over 15 countries. It is responsible for generating national awareness of the burden of accidental injuries. Safe Kids Worldwide also provides lifesaving devices, such as child safety seats, helmets and smoke alarms. The organization works to encourage sound research on leading injury risks and critically evaluate solutions. It administers the Safe Kids Ready to Roll, Safe Kids Walk This Way and Safe Kids Week programs. The organization conducts focus groups and online polls to assess safety-related knowledge, attitudes and self-reported behavior.
