These activities spurred intensive DHS testing and follow on procurement of company products. Mr. Amitay also helped secure defense appropriation funding earmarks for the evaluation and acquisition of the company's detection technology.For the world's largest association of security professional and investigators, Mr. Amitay worked with congressional offices, employer associations, business associations and others in two successful legislative efforts to repeal onerous provisions of the Fair Credit Reporting Act that were impacting workplace safety. Also, for this client and the entire security guard industry, Mr. Amitay assumed a point role in a successful lobbying effort to persuade Congress to pass legislation allowing FBI criminal history background checks on private security officers.
