Maryland Institute College of Art
Located in Baltimore, Maryland Institute has been operational for more than 100 years. It is one of the leading providers of arts education in the United States. The institute enrolls more than 3,500 undergraduate and graduate students annually and has over 250 faculty members. Maryland Institute offers associate and certificate degrees in various areas, such as fine and liberal arts, ceramics, mechanical drawing, painting, printmaking, general sculptural studies, media communication and management, and experimental animation. It also offers majors in interactive media, photography, audiovisual equipment assistant, designing and illustration, environmental and graphic designing, studio concentrations, book arts, art history, creative writing, critical theory, culture and politics, and gender studies. Additionally, Maryland Institute provides courses in literary studies, capstone programs, digital and community arts and teaching. The institute provides several off-campus study opportunities that include New York Studio Program and academic exchange programs with the Johns Hopkins University and School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
