Juvenile Probation is a part of the Family Court - Court Social Services Division of the District of Columbia Courts. Juvenile Probation provides information and investigational services. It also offers counseling services to help juvenile offenders and families achieve social adjustment in the community. The department additionally provides Juvenile Intensive Supervision and Employment Information Resource Center programs. It maintains juvenile intake units to monitor drug-abused juveniles. The departments central processing facility screens arrested youths and offers releasing and detaining services. It also operates a child and family counseling clinic that provides psychological and educational assessment, as well as training and consulting services. Juvenile Probation is located in Washington, D.C.
