Established in 1988, the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation provides research, advocacy and prevention and treatment programs for the prevention of pediatric HIV and AIDS. It sponsors various scholar award programs for scientists, clinicians in developed countries and for individuals from and working in developing countries. Located in Washington, D.C., the foundation s international HIV and AIDS programs prevents mother-to-child transmission of HIV and provides antiretroviral treatment and care for children and adults. The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation provides access to care and treatment for children and families, including antiretroviral therapy. It offers care and support programs to more than 15,000 children in several developing countries.
