Founded in 1968, Edmund Burke School serves over 300 students in grades 6 through 12 in Washington, D.C. Its academic curriculum includes reading, math, writing, science and English. The school also conducts classes in Latin, Spanish and French. Edmund Burke School is spread over an area of more than 60,000 square feet. It features a library, gymnasium and science laboratories. Edmund Burke School provides opportunities for students to participate in various sports activities, such as basketball, cross country, soccer, softball, golf, swimming, volleyball, dance, wrestling, and track and field. The school is accredited by The Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. It is also a member of The National Association for College Admission Counseling and the Association of Independent Schools of Greater Washington. The Edmund Burke Parents Association fosters communication, cooperation and support between parents and guardians and school.
