Established in 1988, Communications Consortium Media Center is a nonprofit organization and a public interest media center offering programs and services to assist nonprofit organizations use media and new technologies as tools for policy change. Communications Consortium Media Center offers programs and services to influence public policy in ways that respect and support individual rights, healthy families, cultural diversity and a sustainable environment. The center provides programs on issues that promote the protection of children, supporting young people, assisting families, improving the workplace, and building communities. Its equality 2020 program promotes gender equality, universal access to reproductive health care education and services, women s participation in action-oriented coalitions, and greater individual and group capacity for effective communications. Global population and reproductive health issues have been a cornerstone of the center s work for more than a decade. It is located in Washington, D.C.
