The Frank R. Jelleff Branch of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington is open year-round at its Georgetown location on Wisconsin Avenue. Bulletin boards are covered with photos of smiling children playing sports, performing in talent shows or showing off artwork. Trophy cases line the hallways boasting the club's many successes during the years it has been in Georgetown.
On weekday afternoons during the school year the club offers activities and homework help. The Jelleff Branch has a large basketball program in the winter; it also offers karate and music lessons throughout the year.
The clubhouse is currently owned by the DC government and leased to the Boys & Girls Club on a month to month basis; hours and activities are subject to change. The city's ownership also means that after-school care and club memberships are free to DC residents.
