American Israel Public Affairs Committee is an American membership organization that provides strength to the relationship between the United States and Israel. The committee has been serving for more than 50 years and working with Congress to build up relationship between the two countries. It has more than 100,000 members throughout the United States and it supports U.S.-Israel military, economic, scientific and cultural cooperation. The committee deals with several issues related to Israel, including fighting terrorism and achieving peace. It organizes more than 2,000 meetings with members of Congress and passes over 100 pro-Israel legislative initiatives a year. It has a leadership development department that provides education and training to young leaders in pro-Israel advocacy. American Israel Public Affairs Committee is headquartered in Washington, D.C.
