Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers is a trade association of car and light truck manufacturers, including the BMW group, DaimlerChrysler, Ford Motor Company, General Motors Corp., Mazda, Mitsubishi Motors, Porsche, Toyota and Volkswagen. The alliance serves as an advocacy group for the automobile industry on a range of public policy issues. Through the alliance, members are able to convey the industry's accomplishments and its positions on issues to the public, government, media and other interested parties. Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers has offices in Sacramento, Calif., Southfield, Mich., and is headquartered in Washington, D.C.
