The East Greenwich Township Police Department is a law enforcement agency that maintains law and order and protects residents lives and their property. Its traffic unit is responsible for the inventory and sales of vehicles impounded for crime and traffic violations. The department also writes grants to receive state and federal funding for traffic enforcement. The East Greenwich Township Police Department s K-9 unit handles article and building searches, criminal apprehension and handler protection.
