The Christina School District serves more than 15,000 students of the city of Newark, N.J., and its surrounding suburban areas as well as a portion of the city of Wilmington. The district offers a comprehensive educational program designed to meet the needs of students of all abilities and interests. It also provides a variety of support services that include child nutrition, district financial information, human resources, transportation and technology services. The district governs various elementary, intermediate, middle and high schools. It offers various educational programs, including the adult education, childfind, early childhood assistance, networks career training and the realistic educational alternative for children with disabilities. The Christina School District employs nearly 2,000 people.
